NBLA Catalog Navigation Guide: Account and My Lists

A guide to navigating the AIP Niels Bohr Library & Archives online catalog

Overview

Manage your checked out books (AIP employees only) and saved searches with "My Account" and "My Lists" Feature in the NBLA Catalog.

All users can use the My Lists feature to temporarily save searches to export or email to yourself. To permanently save searches to return to later you need an NBLA Library Account.

Note: If you do not have an account, but would like the ability to use the saved searches of the My Lists feature, please fill out this New Borrower Form or email us at nbl@aip.org.

My Lists

To save items in a search there are a few options you can use.

My lists:
This lets you select items from search results or the detailed view to add to a temporary list called "My Lists". If in the search result view, simply select the check box for the item(s) you want to add and then go to the Action Menu at the top of the results page and select "Add to My List". You can then go to the My List tab in the upper right hand corner of the catalog to see your saved items. Items added to My List will remain there until you delete them or end your session. If you have a library account, you can permanently save lists by logging in.

NOTE: Selecting All will only select the results on a page (not all results), so if you would like to save the results of a full search, you will need to add each page of results to My Lists separately.

Email:
You can email links to items directly from your search results, a single catalog record, or from My List by going to the Actions menu and selecting "email". This will prompt you to provide an email address to which they should be sent and you will get an email from no-reply@sirsidynix.com with the basic information about the item (title, author, call number, NBL system identifier, publication date, publisher, and format) and a permalink to the catalog record for the item and a link to the search the items came from (if emailed from the search results page).
