Black and African American Physicists Research Guide: Resources on Individuals

Resources on Individuals

This page features resources on a small selection of individual physicists who identify as Black or African-American, with a focus on archival resources. It includes online biographies, personal papers and archival collections, oral history interviews, obituaries, books, and other resources. Birth and death dates are included for each individual if they are available, as well as a small "known for" section that is intended to help identify individuals when doing further research. This list is not meant to be exhaustive. If you know of additional resources or people that would be good additions to this page, or if you have feedback on this guide, please reach out to us via our form.

Physicists are arranged alphabetically by last name in two columns and linked in the lefthand index.
